PETA destroys the very lives they claim to protect

As most people know, we here at buy dog beds are huge supporters of animals. It may seem odd to some that we do not look at PETA in a very favorable light. They are a special interest group…plain and simple. Using animals as a way to spread their enterprise via the emotional ties people have to them. Celebrities love to be associated with them since it obviously is an easy way for exposure and to look like they are doing some good.

I have read of many questionable incidents involving PETA in the past, but none so horrific as the most recent news making it’s way around the web. PETA is basically being accused of killing the very animals it is said to be champions of.

Despite their rather deep pockets, PETA does not own an adoption shelter and makes no effort to find homes for displaced animals. Since 1998 over 20 thousand animals have died at the hands of PETA workers.

Of course the argument is that the Humane Society is a kill shelter. Well of course they are. They aren’t a business and certainly do not have the balance sheet that a company such as PETA possesses. For an organization to be so outspoken and so critical of the rest of society, doesn’t this seem just a bit hypocritical?

Why should anyone listen to their public service announcements? Why should anyone follow the false message they preach?

I don’t meant to be preachy, but it really is sad when an organization claims to protect animals but really just launches massive PR campaigns to spread their name and fatten their wallets.

If you want to support a real organization, contact your local shelters. They do far more good than PETA could ever imagine.
