Organic Dog Beds

An organic dog bed is made with all or mostly organic materials. An organic material has once come from a living organism and is grown without the use of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, sewage sludge, genetically modified organisms, or ionizing radiation.

The USDA has identified three categories for labeling organic products:
100% Organic – Made entirely of organic ingredients
Organic – Made with at least 95% organic ingredients
Made with organic ingredients – Made with a minimum of 70% organic ingredients with strict restrictions on the remaining 30% including no genetically modified organisms

An organic dog bed could be made from an organic cotton fabric cover filled with organic kapok fibers or buckwheat hulls or an organic cotton cover filled with a IntelliLoft, a non-organic, yet eco-friendly material derived from recycled plastic.
